Pooja & Homam Invitation Templates

Make a pooja invitation for a homam or pooja at home or at the temple. Templates cover Ganapathi Homam, Satyanarayana Pooja, Ayush Homam and Lakshmi Pooja, and the heading can be changed for any other pooja.

Pooja invitation wording

Put the name of the pooja or homam in the heading so people know what they are coming for, then the date and the time window. Homams usually start early, around 6 or 7 in the morning, and your purohit will pick a slot that keeps clear of Rahu kalam and Yamagandam.

Say whether prasadam or annadhanam (lunch) will be served, and give the full address with a map QR code. For a Satyanarayana pooja on a Pournami evening, mention when the katha starts so people don’t walk in at the end.

A Tamil pooja invitation usually opens with ‘உ’ or ‘ஸ்ரீ கணபதி துணை’ and ends with the host family’s names under ‘இப்படிக்கு’.
