Muslim Wedding (Nikah) Invitation Templates

Make a Nikah invitation that opens with the Bismillah in Arabic calligraphy, set under a mihrab arch with a crescent moon and lanterns. Edit the family names, the Nikah time and the Walima details, then download it free.

Nikah invitation wording

Most Nikah cards begin with ‘Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim’ in Arabic, followed by a line such as ‘With the blessings of Almighty Allah’ or ‘Insha Allah’.

The groom’s parents usually invite guests to the Nikah of their son, followed by the bride’s name and her parents (‘D/o Mr. & Mrs. …’). If both families are inviting together, name both sets of parents.

Then the date and time. Many Nikahs are fixed around a prayer, so ‘after Jumu’ah’ or ‘after Asr’ is normal wording on a Nikah invitation. Add the masjid or hall, and a separate line for the Walima if it is on another day.

Muslim Nikah Invitation – FAQ

Is the Bismillah editable?

It is set in the Amiri Arabic font and behaves like any other line, so you can edit it, resize it or hide it.

Can I add Walima details?

The template already has a Walima line. If the Walima is a separate function, add lines for its date, time and venue.

Can I write the Nikah invitation in Tamil or Urdu?

Tamil works fully, with Tamil fonts. Arabic script uses the Amiri font, which covers most Urdu words too, though it is a Naskh style, so Urdu will look like print rather than Nastaliq.
