Retirement invitation wording

Lead with the retiree’s name and the years of service. That number is the reason for the function, and people like to see it.

Give the date, time and venue, and an RSVP number for the dinner count. Government staff in Tamil Nadu retire on the last day of the month in which they turn 60, so the function is often held that evening or on the weekend after.

A Tamil retirement invitation usually puts the designation and office under the name, for example ‘தலைமை ஆசிரியர், அரசு மேல்நிலைப் பள்ளி’, and ends with the family or colleagues who are hosting.
